Gotta love a Free Sample

Who doesn't love a Free Sample of a High Quality Product?

My online browsing experience today worked a treat.

I have always loved the funky designs I have seen over the years created by MOO however I just have never got around to ordering any for myself. Yesterday I got as far as getting to their home page before I was distracted and taken away and forgot all about checking out their latest products and designs.

Today while working online a remarketing banner ad came up for MOO saying Order a MOO Sample pack for FREE. That is an ad that worked for me. I jumped right over and ordered the sample pack - which involves creating an account. So now begins their nurturing process of demonstrating their value while I wait for the sample pack to arrive.

PS This link includes a free gift just for YOU too

Do you sell a high quality product? Could this strategy work for your business?

Delighted that I've finally found an international online community to remain up-to-date on the topic of online business. Plus is an affordable subscription for multiple websites. Yay! While this one I haven't yet moved over it has inspired me to create a blog 100% focused on reading, actioning and reviewing Business Books! I have been doing this as part of my own professional development for nearly 10 years. Who knows why I didn't think to do it earlier.

Well I have now. It is called Business Book Reviews - Go check it out here (remember it's brand new, therefore a work in progress).

Release the Brakes

Or you may prefer to say:

  • Step Out of your Comfort Zone
  • Get Yourself out of the way
  • Right Mindset
  • Remove obstacles
  • Overcome self-sabotage
Essentially changing behaviours. Easier said than done.

First step is Raise Awareness

Second step is Influence Attitudes and then

Final step is Change Behaviours.

As Einstein stated "The significant problems we face cannot be solved by the same level of thinking that created them".

Which step is relevant for you for your current goals(s)?

Success leaves Clues

Ended up having a day off from these posts, although I read the chapter, my day changed and therefore by the time I got to it at 8pm at night, I thought it would be of greater benefit if I posted and sent out this morning. So here it is - a shorty but a goodie -

Chapter 9 of The Success Principles book by Jack Canfield is all about being real and finding the education, knowledge and support to achieve your goals. There is no need to do it alone. Seek mentors that have already achieved what you wish too.

What knowledge or support can you seek for your major goals?

Chunk it Down

This is a step that many find challenging but it is oh so essential to success. But, there is light at the end of the tunnel. As Jack Canfield suggests using the process of Mind Mapping assists even the big picture thinkers to chunk their big goals down to smaller tasks right down to a daily to-do list.

Great, 'first things first' read the chapter from The Success Principles, download the free resources and take action.

Unleash the Power of Goal - Setting

I thought about taking a day off from my daily chapter reading and posts of Jack Canfield's book The Success Principles. But, when I woke again after a great night's sleep at 5am on the dot - I didn't get up but thought about going back to sleep or getting up... and after an hour of dozing and contemplating I decided I'm getting up - why? Because I'm excited and motivated to do this. This absolutely is for myself however if there is just one person that is inspired or motivated to go beyond thinking about the life they want to taking one daily action then that is more than worthwhile. Besides this cartoon got me laughing:

And you don't need to be a 'failure' or having a bad life to want to do this. This process is a continual journey because as you reach and achieve goals you reset them. Therefore rather than seeing this as a burden look at it as a lifestyle change.

Chapter 7 is a milestone because it now means I'm or we (for those along for the daily journey) are more than 10% through the book - Yay! And it just keeps getting interesting and this is from a person (me) that has been doing this kind of thing for decades!

Chapter 7 is Unleash the Power of Goal-Setting - and I agree this is nothing new however Jack Canfield does talk about the list of things you need to do such as (and I'm quoting directly from the book):

  • Make a list of goals you want to accomplish
  • Make sure they're measurable
  • Have goals for every aspect of your life vision
  • Have a breakthrough goal - carry it with you daily
  • List 101 goals you want to achieve before you die
This makes you the top 3% of the world's achievers

To be in the top 1% of achievers:

  • Write specific action steps on your daily to-do list
That's it!

Phew - feeling daunted or motivated?

However, what he also shares are the top 3 things that emerge that stops people from achieving their goals. That I found interesting both personally and as a business mentor.

Grab the book and hear a summary from the author himself:

Become an Inverse Paranoid

What? What is an Inverse Paranoid? ... I know I initially thought the same but what Jack Canfield is talking about here (and what I just love) is 'looking for the lemonade in lemons'.

This is the topic for Chapter 6 of Jack Canfield's book:

This quote from Stan Dale sums up the chapter beautifully: 'I've always been the opposite of a paranoid. I operate as if everyone is part of a plot to enhance my well-being." The ultimate in attitude, mind over matter, mindset - whatever label you want to call it - it is the power of positive thinking. There are a variety of lovely stories to illustrate this point in this chapter which I encourage you to take the time to read. Again one of the shorter (faster read) chapters - so no excuses.

Here is the author explaining one of these stories himself:

Believe in Yourself

This is an attitude that you commit to daily. Specifically you need to believe you are capable, you have what it takes to fulfill your dreams, goals and aspirations. This is a choice. Your choice.

How liberating and daunting is that at the same time? This is YOUR responsibility. But what I say is - YOU'VE GOT THIS!

What this means is... are you committed to doing the study, practice, work to get to where you want to be? How important are your goals to you? What does it mean to you to achieve them?

Again a 'no hiding' topic for this Chapter 5 of Jack Canfield's book,  The Success Principles(TM) - 10th Anniversary Edition: How to Get from Where You Are to Where You Want to Be

Why these daily posts for each chapter of The Success Principles?  5 days ago it started as me simply sharing I was going to re-read this book for myself. I had no intention of writing a post for each chapter and I hadn't made the decision to read a chapter every day - after all their are 60+ chapters. But after the first day, I got thinking and thought why not? Often people say to me face-to-face that they enjoy following, reading and sharing the positive affirmations and posts I share so I thought why keep this process to myself.

I encourage you that if you've read this far to comment either here or on my posts on Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter to share your journey of this book and/or topics. Let's do this together. So... Let's Go!

Believe it's Possible - You Get What You Expect

Some chapters of The Success Principles(TM) - 10th Anniversary Edition: How to Get from Where You Are to Where You Want to Be by Jack Canfield are longer than others and take more time. this Chapter 4 is a nice shorty.

Chapter 3 was definitely longer to read and longer to action. With this chapter 4, it may take a short time to read but is it potentially a lifetime to implement? Depending on your mindset really. This absolutely is where it is mind over matter - You Get What You Expect. Goodness that can be as confronting as chapter 1 - to take 100% responsibility.

Therefore, although you know where you want to be in all aspects of your life as you uncovered and documented in chapter 3 but do you expect those results?

Yes this is some stare at yourself in the mirror time and be honest with yourself. Confronting yourself now will save you many years of self-sabotage and/or procrastination.

What you say to yourself is your decision but begin with 'I've got this'

I Want - Decide What You Want

This is the key to all your success - to commit to what you want. I recommend visualising and dreaming as big as you can - you can always chunk down into manageable goals over a timeline. But find some time (at least 30 mins) and answer I want to the following areas of your life:

  • Finances
  • Ideal Job or Career or Business
  • Recreation Time
  • Health and Well being
  • Relationships
  • Personal growth and development and
  • Contribution to Community

Take 100% Responsibility for Your Life

Chapter 1 of Jack Canfield's book The Success Principle is all about taking 100% responsibility. A great chapter. However, not for the faint hearted, depending on 'where you're at' in life, this maybe a confronting read.

Back from a break - re-reading Jack Canfield's The Success Principles

If we did all the things we are capable of doing, we would literally astound ourselves

Thomas A. Edison

Hello again!

Yes I'm back, and goodness it's almost the end of March. So where have I been?

Still where I've always been however just taking some time out for myself and my son to regroup and reassess what I was doing in life and business.

But I have missed you all and sharing my experiences in both life and business. Thus a much needed blog post.

Back in 2009 I was researching new books and new knowledge of how to better myself and my life. One of the many sources of great information was a well known book 'The Success Principles' by Jack Canfield. During my annual New Year home and office de-clutter, I rediscovered this book. Since January I have been reading random chapters from the book as I read the complete book from start to finish back when I first bought the book almost 8 years ago. However now I have decided to re-read it cover to cover.

So here is an invitation for you, why not join me on this journey of rediscovery for myself and either the same for you or a first time experience of reading the book.

Let me know if you're in by commenting or contact me.

The first step is... you will need a copy of the book:

Now make a regular time you will commit to reading a chapter of this book - daily? weekly?

Do share your commitment with us:
